Accountancy Recruit is partnered with an international manufacturing business, with a strong reputation around the world for high quality and great service, in the recruitment of an Assistant Finance Analyst. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Assistant Finance Analyst provides a professional, accurate and timely accounting service in accumulating, analysing and reporting relevant information about the performance, future and financial position of the businesses across the Group.

This role will suit an individual with a positive, confident, naturally inquisitive nature who demonstrates a genuine interest in the manufacturing process and a desire to provide analysis and reporting of KPIs, product and material costing to inform strategy across the business. You may be studying an accounting qualification or be qualified by experience. There is plenty of opportunity to develop your career and become involved in ongoing and new projects within the Finance Team.

Duties
In this role you will be joining the busy Finance Team assisting in the provision of accurate cost and management information to the Leadership Team and Board.

  • Assisting in producing reports to be included in the group monthly management information.
  • Assisting in the analysis of financial performance and forecasting longer term horizons.
  • Recommend methods and strategies for cutting costs where required.
  • Assisting in the production of monthly KPI reports and forecasts.
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and calculation of costing rates.
  • Production of costings reports - price on application, product and property costings.
  • Reconciliation, revaluation and analytical review of ledgers - Bank, Sales, Purchase, Fixed Assets, and Stock.
  • Assisting in the annual calculation of material prices, calculation and proposals on pricing, preparation of price lists and determining profit margins.
  • Continuous process improvement and reporting development.
  • Month end journal including accruals and prepayments.
  • Developing strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across the business.

Skills and Expectations

  • A high level of verbal and written communication
  • Knowledge and understanding of management accounting, financial analysis of KPI, forecasts and budgeting is desirable
  • Strong Excel, desirable Access and Software Robotics
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external partners
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Team orientated

Renumeration
Salary £25 - 27,000 pa.
Hours: 8.00 am - 5.00 pm Monday to Friday
Holidays: 22 days holiday plus bank holidays
Pension: Auto enrolment (employee contribution 3.5%, company contribution 4.5% - increases with service)
