We are recruiting an experienced Finance Assistant to join Coventry University on a 6-month temporary contract to help support the Banking Operations team as well as providing excellent customer service to help resolve queries in a helpful and professional manner.
As a Finance Assistant, your main responsibilities will be: *Accurately post all income and expenditure received within the University and subsidiary company's bank accounts on a timely basis and in accordance with the month and year-end timetables *Monitor & manage non-reconciled items and cascade out to the business within the agreed SLA *Respond to enquiries from Staff and Students regarding the payment of fees and outstanding balances in a timely basis *Reconcile data at month-end and year-end, including reconciliations of bank accounts and unidentified income using Income Manager and the general ledger *Assist with administration of the online payment facility and liaise with colleagues to ensure that income is correctly recorded and allocated *Provide high level of quality customer service through and the provision of accurate and confidential financial information
Skills and experience required: *Previous experience within finance or banking *Excellent customer service *IT literate e.g. Excel *Good numeracy and systems skills *Experience of working with high volume and large databases
Pay Rate/Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30am - 17:00pm with Hybrid working £11.39 p/h
