The role of Command Support Team Leader can be challenging but very rewarding. Providing operational, management and fire ground support to fire crews during deployment, you will need to be calm under pressure and able to think quickly.

Securitas provide contingency Firefighters to various fire services across the UK in the case of major incident, industrial action or any other circumstance that could reduce normal fire service capability

Securitas provides a wide range of Fire & Safety services supporting a number of Fire Service.

Essential Skills

To be successful in this role you should have exceptional leadership skills and have worked at a senior level within the fire service.

You will typically have had extensive operational experience in a local authority fire service or similar and have a proven track record in the management of operational incidents, with multi-appliance attendance.

You should have demonstrated incident command experience and be able to demonstrate practical application of incident management to level 2 of skills for justice, Emergency Fire Service Management

You should be prepared to work away from home and be able to deal with life threatening situations calmly and professionally.

Desirable Skills
  • You must be physically fit and capable of taking part in rescue simulation and emergency procedures, wearing and using heavy equipment.
  • Able to work at heights, in confined dark spaces
  • Have good eyesight with normal color vision for Reading O2 meters and safety.
  • Ability to wear full face mask protection.
  • An understanding of the need to portray a professional image at all times.
  • Proactive & attentive to detail.
  • Ability to deal with situations politely, tactfully & with discretion.
  • Willingness to commit to working as part of a team
