Interaction Accountancy and Finance are representing a reputable and well established small accountancy practice, who are now part of a larger group of practices, in their search for an Accounts Assistant based near Cambridge, Cambridgeshire.
The successful candidate will be part of a busy accounts team, but responsible for looking after their own portfolio of clients, typical duties would include:
Account/Bank reconciliations Completing general ledger operations Preparing journal entries VAT returns Reconciling and maintaining balance sheet accounts Closing & Preparation of montly financial statements Preparing financial reports and tax returns Processing expenses Preparing analysis of accounts Assisting with year end Preparing budget and cashflow forecasts Other duties in line with experience Applications are invited from individuals with the following skills and experience:
Previous experience of working in a similar role ideally within an Accountancy Practice or accounts department Actively studying towards achieving a professional qualification, such as AAT/ACCA Flexible attitude with a willingness to learn and develop Confident communicator IT Literate, ideally with experience of Xero, Excel and TaxCalc This role will be a mix of both remote and office based training available on an ongoing basis, with a minimum of 3 days in the office.
