Commodity Buyer
Are you an experienced buyer looking for a new and exciting challenge? Our reputable client based on the outskirts of Ripley are looking to hire a Commodity Buyer to join their growing business. You will have excellent communication skills with an interest in data analysis.
To be considered for the role, you'll require the following essentials:
Current or recent experience in working within a purchasing / buying role
Experience within FMCG, Manufacturing or Engineering (or similar) industries
Possess excellent written and communication skills
Have a genuine interest in data analysis
The ideal candidate will have experience in SAP, however this is not essential. You will be an excellent communicator and a great team player.
Within this position, you'll also be:
Managing suppliers in relation to commodities
Liaising with other Commodity Buyers to align with commodity strategies, policies and procedures
Monitoring supplier performance and ensuring performance in line with goals and objectives
Negotiating with suppliers to achieve success in line wth expectations
Managing issues relating to performance (OTIF) and quality of suppliers
Working closely with the finance department and managing material price variances
Updating purchasing data whilst evaluating and raising ECR's
Supporting Project Buyers and managing new product line introductions
Setting up new part codes on the system, creating of purchasing and master data
Salary, Working Hours & Benefits
Salary is £ 32,000 - £37,500 per annum dependant on experience
Working hours are Monday - Friday - Hybrid working model
25 days holiday + bank holidays
