Alexander Steele Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with a multinational food manufacturing business, based in North West London, who are currently looking to add a Finance Manager to their team.

This rapidly growing business is looking for a Finance Manager, reporting into the Finance Director, who can deliver accurate and timely information of the business performance. Ensure that effective controls and procedures are in place across the whole business to provide a framework for accountability, control, review and measurement (to be done in coordination with the company accountant). Deliver financial reporting and forecasting in line with the Group standards.

On Offer

• £50,000 - £55,000 basic annual salary, depending on experience

• 5% pension

• 23 days + bank holidays annual leave

• Death in Service benefit.

Responsibilities include:

• To ensure that appropriate financial reporting procedures are in place and are adhered to in line with Group requirement

• To ensure that all required accounting controls and updates are made to deliver financial reporting on a monthly basis in line with the Group timeline guidance

• To perform month-end processes and prepare a monthly financial reporting pack

• To produce accurate analysis of the business performance against its budgets and forecast, including any relevant ad-hoc analysis to help delivering the expected business growth and profitability (to be done in coordination with Controllers)

• To develop and ensure that a monthly mutual work with Controllers is in place and is performed

• Ensure that proper processes are in place to capture and present budgetary/forecasting information.

• To ensure that all other Senior Managers are held accountable for expenditure incurred within their function

• To ensure that all required accounting controls and updates are made to deliver year end accounts in line with the Group policies and timeline guidance, and the regulation (to be done in coordination with the company accountant)

• Develop and build positive relationships with all external stakeholders/providers such as the bank, insurers, pension providers, commercial solicitors and auditors.

• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.

The Candidate:

• CIMA/ACCA qualified

• Awareness of the commercial imperatives that drive the business and the market environment

• Awareness of corporate governance requirements and best practice

• Previous experience working within the Consumer Goods manufacturing industry would be beneficial.

• Able to define and develop strategy

• Ability to influence colleagues at Board level

• Ability to develop others through a coaching/mentoring approach
