The Opportunity

Yolk Public Sector & Not-for-Profit is working with a forward-thinking regulatory body to recruit a permanent. Head of Investment. This is a highly influential role with a generous reward package of £100,000 to £135,000pa + 27.9% pension. This role comes with all the flexibility and autonomy you'd expect at this level.

What the Head of Investment will be doing

• Question and challenge external advisers / trustees / sponsoring employers on pension scheme investments to ensure an appropriate balance of risk and return, both at the individual scheme and policy / universe levels.
• Provide leadership to investment consultants and develop a high performing team
• Manage a Quality Assurance process to ensure that appropriate peer review takes place and advice is sampled and evaluated with feedback on improvements fed back to the team.

What the Head of Investment will bring to the team

• Experience of working with Occupational Pension Schemes. For example, working as an investment consultant to occupational pension arrangements, as an investment or fiduciary manager or leading an in-house investment team
• A relevant professional qualification such as CFA, FIA or FFA is desirable
• Track record of leadership and management in the investment sector
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Here's what the Successful Head of Investment will receive in return:

• Salary of £100,000 to £135,000 depending on experience
• Civil service pensions arrangements (27.9%)
