What are we looking for?

We are looking to appoint a strong and experienced, ideally fully qualified, Senior Management Accountant for our client who is , offering hybrid working from their Huddersfield site and home. This role will sit within the Commercial finance team, reporting into the Group FT&A Manager.

What will you be doing?

  • Business Partnering: build strong relationship with the Exec and their leadership team. Provide insightful reporting & analysis, develop budgets & forecasts, provide challenge and general financial support to ensure robust cost control and alignment to strategic plans
  • Commercial & Operational focus with best in class service for our Stakeholders
  • Month-End - the end-to-end process. Inclusive of; Preparation, Accruals & Prepayments, Cost Management & Understanding, ownership of the P&L & Profit Flash commentary
  • Identifying Risks & Opportunities with a forward looking view
  • Variance Analysis whilst understanding the key drivers
  • Value adding reporting
  • Participation in the Coaching & Development of junior members of the team
  • Management Reporting: develop and maintain company-wide reporting such as Operational KPIs, Headcount, Product performance, etc. Lead and contribute to Executive level review processes
  • Projects: Finance involvement in Projects covering the Operation & Technology functions - from building a compelling business case through to delivery, tracking and post-investment appraisal
  • Provide cover for the Group FP&A Manager

Who do we need?

  • CIMA/ACCA or equivalent qualified
  • Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Technology Finance background would be a distinct advantage
  • Strong Business Partnering skills with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders, build credibility and rapport
  • Curiosity, collaborative, inquisitive, enthusiastic, and proactive 'can do attitude'
  • Attention to detail
  • Change orientated, constantly seeking improvement opportunities
  • Strong communication skills: accurate, considered, persuasive and succinct
  • Advanced skills in Excel and financial operating systems
  • Results focused, ensuring plans in place and delivered through regular review
  • Strong organisation skills to manage multiple responsibilities
