Job Title: Accountant - Mid-level

Location: Denver/Lone Tree CO (Hybrid)

Duration: 1+ Year (Possibility to convert full-time)

Description:

• Manager would like to see solid general ledger experience, demonstrated stability in work history and that a candidate has worked on projects and can identify what they did to contribute to that project.
• Responsible for completion and maintenance of general ledgers and financial reports.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasks and goals.
• Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
• Required demonstrated accounting skills and strength in Excel (including pivot tables, defined names, defined ranges, VLOOKUP's, if functions, and sum if functions).
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Heavy journal entry, estimates and populating ledgers with estimates.
• Taking results of business operations and populating books and records.
• Preparation of Excel and workbooks and confirming results loaded into PeopleSoft.
• Reconciliation and confirming balances.
• Reporting-internal and some external reporting.
• Audit work.

Requirements:

• 4-year accounting degree
• 2 years general ledger experience
• Intermediate Excel experience.
• Oracle PeopleSoft experience a plus but not required.
• CPA a plus but not required.
• Good written and verbal communication.
