Accountabilities include:

• Administer expenditure for the branch, in accordance with the State Purchasing Policy standards and Accrual Accounting standards.
• Ensure expenditure vouchers are entered into the accounts payable system correctly and expeditiously.
• Verify data entry of expenditure vouchers and journals to ensure accuracy of data entered into SAPR/3.
• Support the unit in the use of SAPR/3 by supplying basic training to other team members.
• Perform internal trading and recovery of costs from cost centres within TMR.
• Develop and maintain quality systems, procedures and standards in relation to the business support function and activities of the unit.
• Provide a range of financial management services including accruals; requisitions and payments; purchase order maintenance; assets; recoveries; commitments.
• Provide quality advice to clients on policy, processes, procedures and emergent issues relating to any aspect of financial management.
• Develop appropriate local finance processes and work practices in accordance with the departmental Financial Management Practice Manual.
• Undertake specified financial and business support work as directed.
• Carrying out all duties in accordance with the TMR Code of Conduct with particular regard for managing sensitive information and maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
