Senior Associate - Data Analytics

MAS Group Risk and Control function is centered around three pillars: enterprise-wide risk management, organizational governance and assurance.

As a critical business function, we leverage heavily on Data Analytics, Real-time Dynamic Visualization Platforms, Advanced Analytical Techniques (AI and Machine Learning), and State-of-the-Art Data platforms such as Microsoft Azure, SAP BW/4HANA, and SAP Data Warehouse on Cloud (DWC) to generate deeper insights to enhance decision making and foster a data-driven decision culture within MAS.

We have an opportunity for a dynamic and energetic individual to join the Group Risk and Control (GR&C) data analytics team at MAS Capital (Pvt) Ltd as a Senior Associate - Data Analytics. The right candidate should have the passion to explore, analyze, and put forward data-driven actionable insights using data science, advanced analytical tools and visualization platforms to help a diverse set of business functions to minimize risk and seize improvement opportunities.

Key responsibilities

•Provide data-driven solutions to help the business to minimize risk and seize improvement opportunities.

•Compiling use cases for analytics to drive clear business objectives, expectations and create business cases for the use cases.

•Work collaboratively with the business and technical teams to build analytic solutions.

•Develop ad-hoc queries and reports based on requirements.

•Create insightful dashboards that add value to the end user.

•Interpret data, analyze results, use machine learning/statistical techniques and provide actionable insights to make informed decisions.

Qualifications and Experience

•B.Sc. Degree in Data Science/Computer Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics or relevant field.

•Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role.

•Experience using languages such as SQL, Python, R.

•Ability to transform data and draw insights from large data sets.

•Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques and advanced statistical techniques and concepts

•Experience in visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using: Power Bi, Tableau, Periscope, Business Objects, D3, ggplot etc.

•Knowledge and experience with programming languages such as Java, Scala and experience in different distributed computing tools: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, etc. will be considered as an added advantage.
