A publicly traded company in the energy industry is seeking an AP Accountant to join its growing Lakewood team!

Primary responsibilities for the AP Accountant include:
- High volume, full-cycle AP processing with three-way match
- Manual AP process including weekly check-run
- Vendor set up, outreach and maintenance
- Vendor statement reconciliation
- Assisting with month-end close
- Calculating and posting accrual entries
- 404 SOX compliance
- Assist with paperless initiative

Ideal skills and experience for AP Accountant include:
- 4+ years experience in full-cycle AP, including 3-way match
- Large ERP system exposure - Great Plains is a PLUS!
- Understanding of capex vs expense and how these items impact the financial statements
- Experience with Time and Material billing, contractor invoicing, purchase orders
- Exposure to construction and/or manufacturing accounting is a plus!
- Proficient within MS Excel (comfortable with VLU and Pivot)
- Ability to identify and calculate sales and use tax
- Desire to grow within an organization!
