Principal Finance provides flexible primary financing solutions and engages in secondary market investing, across the capital structure. Operating globally in both corporate and real estate sectors, the team has experience across a variety of industry groups including real estate, infrastructure, telecommunications, media, entertainment and technology, leisure and healthcare. The team operates globally through offices in Sydney, London, New York, Paris, Frankfurt, San Francisco and Chicago.

As an Associate based in Sydney, you will have the opportunity to work with our market leading team where you will be involved in:
  • Financial modelling of new and existing investment opportunities e.g., cash flow models, DCF, merger models, LBO, 3-statement models, financial statement analysis, valuation analysis, scenario analysis (i.e., impact on gearing)
  • Preparation of presentation materials for new and existing opportunities, including board papers
  • Management of external stakeholders including advisers, financiers, consultants, legal etc
  • Building cash flow models for companies operating in the commercial and residential subsectors with several assets or projects
  • Preparation of Investment Committee papers
  • Strategic review and sell side advisory roles
  • Preparation of operating models and documents including board papers, information memorandums and teasers

To be successful in this role, you will have at least 3 years' experience of real estate principal transactions gained at a global investment bank. You will possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills along with strong numerical ability. As a critical and commercial thinker, you will also harness the ability to effectively and swiftly analyse both quantitative and qualitative data. You will also hold a relevant tertiary degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Actuarial Science or Quantitative Finance) with an impeccable academic record.
