PURPOSE STATEMENT:

The financial analyst helps provide high quality support to other corporate departments and facilities to assist in their execution of departmental and company objectives through modelling, financial / operational analysis, and reporting

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Analyzing current and past financial and operational data and performance
  • Preparing reports and projections based on this analysis
  • Assist in review of facility budgeting process and preparation of materials for executive and board review
  • Assist in evaluation of current and future capital expenditures
  • Assist department head in reviewing investment opportunities
  • Identifying trends in financial performance and providing recommendations for improvement
  • Coordinating with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts
  • Assist department head in maintaining financial models and forecasting
  • Other adhoc projects as needed

OTHER FUNCTIONS:
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, Master's preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of office administration procedures with the ability to operate most standard office equipment.
  • Ability to work professionally with sensitive, proprietary data & information while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external.
  • Exercises sound judgment in responding to inquiries; understands when to route inquiries to next level.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within inflexible time frames. Ability to adapt to frequent priority changes.
  • Capable of working within established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the organization.
  • English sufficient to provide and receive instructions/directions.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
  • PREFERRED: CPA or MBA
