Summary of Position:


The University of New Hampshire’s Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Accounting to begin in January or August 2023.

This is a nine-month contract position with an initial appointment term of two years, with possible renewal at the discretion of the College.

The full-time lecturer will teach six courses per academic year, which include multiple course preps. Applicants are expected to meet the College’s standards for being qualified in accordance with AACSB standards by retaining engagement and currency in the accounting field. Applicants should not only have a commitment to teaching excellence but also a willingness to get involved with various Paul College activities outside the classroom, including serving on faculty committees, attending College meetings, and working with and mentoring students. Paul College strives for excellence in diversity and candidates should demonstrate skill in working with diverse constituencies in the academic environment and an ability to cultivate external relations with community leaders, institutions, and stakeholders.

The Department of Accounting and Finance offers an Accounting option within the business major, a Master of Science in Accounting program, and a core accounting course for the MBA program. Accounting is an important program offering on campus.

The Peter T. Acceptable Minimum Qualifications                               
Minimum qualifications include a Certified Public Accounting license and either U.S. public accounting firm experience or other extensive U.S. accounting-related work experience.

Additional Preferred Qualifications                                 
A graduate degree in accounting or taxation is preferred; however, applicants with significant professional experience will be considered. Prior successful teaching experience is also preferred.
