We are working with a fantastic client in the energy industry that is expecting to double their number of projects by 2025!

This global organisation has had incredible growth across their business and is looking to bring on THREE FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANTS to assist with this. With offices in over 20 countries, they are looking to expand their Canberra-based team to streamline their Australian processes and achieve outcomes outlined under their 2025 strategic plan.

So, what is involved in the roles, you ask?

Financial Accountant (Financial Statements/Taxation)
  • Being involved in the preparation and provision of relevant information to external advisors and auditors.
  • Reconcile GST and assist in statutory compliance processes.
  • Participate in month end, accounts payable, accounts receivable and monthly payroll as required.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as required.

Financial Accountant (Financial Statements/Reporting)
  • Updating financial statements, on a monthly basis, including the profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
  • Assist Finance Manager with valuations, fixed assets register and implementation of new accounting standards in coordination with internal policies.
  • Support month end, accounts payable and accounts receivable and monthly payroll as required.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as required.

Financial Accountant (Treasury/Project Finance)
  • Main point of contact for project finance processes, lenders and agents, and bank guarantee matters.
  • Preparation of monthly cash flow and quarterly cash flow statutory reporting.
  • Participate, as needed, in month end processes, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, analysis and forecasting.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as required.

And what do you need to bring to the role?
  • Minimum relevant Bachelor qualification or equivalent in substantial experience.
  • 2+ years' experience in similar role.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting, financial and business procedures.
  • Sounds communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work autonomously.
