The Opportunity

Chandler Macleod is looking to engage a Finance Manager for a contract term of 6 months with a well-established NSW Government department. This role will be based in Macquarie Park.

Job Specification

In this position, you will be required to perform but are not limited to the following tasks:
  • Management and continuous improvement of cash forecasting and liquidity management requirements for the Transport Cluster
  • Managing Transports approved cash Appropriation, Grant, and Equity funding
  • Analysing various scenarios and risks to brief the Executive with strategic options
  • Interest rate risk management and the development of risk mitigation strategies
  • Foreign exchange and Commodity risk management and development of risk mitigation strategies
  • Managing the Transport Cluster banking platform and key relationships
  • Own and implement Transport's Treasury Risk Management framework, policies, and guidelines
  • Demonstrate the five ways of leading behaviours to deliver organisational outcomes for our customers, our people, and our communities for the greater good.
About You
  • To be successful in this position, you will need to have experience in the following:
  • Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities, including the ability to strategically lead, influence, promote and motivate highly skilled technical staff to deliver desired outcomes.
  • Proven capacity to develop and implement effective Treasury policies, processes and systems including an understanding of all treasury requirements and practices.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills and demonstrated success at building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Skills/Capabilities
  • SAP (highly desirable)
  • Quantum (highly desirable) or similar software experience
  • Excel - Advanced
  • Organised/ Deliver to multiple deadlines
  • Effective stakeholder management skills
  • Accountability
