Account Specialist II - Accounts Receivable

BCforward is currently seeking highly motivated Account Specialist II - Accounts Receivable in Phoenix, AZ 85007.

Job Title: Account Specialist II - Accounts Receivable
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85007
Expected Duration: 6+ months contract with possibility of extension
Shift: Monday through Friday - 8 am to 5 pm

Position Overview:
The ideal candidate for the Account Specialist II position will have 3-5 years' experience processing Accounts Receivable, experience with following up on outstanding invoices, as well as being comfortable with calling for payment follow-up and posting cash.

Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
* Processing of checks and wire payments received from the agency's customers in Oracle and the Financial Information System.
* Issue refunds, credits, and adjustments.
* Create ad hoc invoices
* Create charts and graphs for unit metrics
* Analyze fund balances for reasonableness
* Reconcile and research favorable and unfavorable deposit adjustments
* Reconciliation of customer accounts
* Light collection activity
* Work with the agency's divisions on billing activities
* Contact customers to assist with billing questions
* Create and maintain standard work for the units' processes
* Perform Quality Assurance testing for system defects and enhancements using provided test scripts or instruction

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Knowledge of the methods and techniques of automated financial systems
* Basic data entry skills
* Ability in analysis, interpret and communicate financial data
* Knowledge of or ability to learn and apply LEAN concepts, principles and tools used to create and deliver the most value from the customer's perspective while consuming the fewest resources, and engaging people in continuous problem solving

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
* Oracle experience is a plus
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Attention to detail
* Customer service and interpersonal skills
* Intermediate Excels skills (Formulas, Pivot tables, charts, graphs, etc.)
