Senior Finance Officer, permanent Senior Finance Officer role in Walsall. Hybrid working role.

You will be joining a dynamic organisation in the Walsall area who provide products, services and support across the Midlands. This business has faced growth and remains people-centric, whilst maintaining excellent standards.

Your new role
This is an exciting permanent position, working with the finance management team to focus of income and expenditure transactions as well as the annual rent process. The role is varied, and duties include:

  • Prepare and maintain service charge schedules
  • Ensure transactions are processed accuratley
  • Monitor and reconcile financial data
  • Prepare and review the appropriate control accounts and reconciliations
  • Development and implementation of processes and procedures to ensure rents have been calculated correctly
  • Develop service charge budgets and annual service charge statements
This is a full time role and will be working 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.


What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have had experience in a financial role before, ideally where you have worked in the rent or property industry. Also, key experience will look like:

  • Relevant experience of developing and maintaining effective administration systems
  • Significant experience in a ledger processing environment
  • Excellent IT skills, which include the ability to confidently use all Microsoft Office applications, with proficiency in Excel Experience of working with and the ability to use accounting systems.
  • Experience of reconciling accounts.
  • An effective range of communication skills
  • The ability to influence and constructively challenge conventional ways of thinking
  • The ability to negotiate at all levels to achieve results.
  • Experience of preparing reports, management information and statistics
  • The ability to work well under pressure, prioritising workloads appropriately, producing results to deadline.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with other teams, building rapport and trust through negotiation
  • A commitment to continuous professional development
