Payroll & Finance Assistant Do you have previous experience working in a Payroll? Are you well-organised, with great attention to detail? I am currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established company who are looking for an accountancy professional to join their team.

As the Payroll & Finance Assistant you'll work closely with the Finance and Central support teams, especially HR and you'll liaise directly with staff around the organisation to support with payroll queries. You will also be reporting to the Management Accountant.

Key responsibilities for this job role are:

• Processing the payroll for multiple teams
• Ensure each employee receives their correct pay
• Payments are representative of completed and properly authorised work
• SSP is paid correctly
• Pension deductions are accurate & advances are monitored
• Attachment of earnings are processed properly and HMRC submissions are entered correctly
• Processing of staff expenses ensuring accuracy and correct authorisation
• Support in other areas of finance as and when needed

Required skills:

• Previous experience in Payroll
• Well organised and able to prioritise
• Great attention to detail,
• Work well under pressure
• Excellent IT skills, including MS Excel

Desirable Skills:

• Experience using Sage

Benefits:

• Full-time, Permanent
• Salary: £30k+ Depending on Experience
