RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Englewood, CO that is seeking a Senior Accountant Staff I. Responsibilities:

• The Senior Accountant is responsible for the maintenance and verification of data used in Corporate financial reporting, to include setting requirements for use of the General Ledger information through various systems
• Development of reporting to be used in managerial analysis
• Management of Month End Close through use of Blackline/OneStream
• Preparation of journal entries
• The Senior Accountant will maintain procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, or two years related experience and/or training, and at least one year of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and business theory
• Proficient in Excel with exposure to Access and Word. Knowledge of Oracle Financial Systems a plus
• Able to assess and recommend improvements for processes and procedures
• Ability to multi-task, be organized and a self-starter to drive projects towards completion
• Ability to learn quickly, prioritize and work under pressure, adapt to a rapidly changing environment and demonstrate a sense of urgency - while not being overly sensitive, quickly frustrated or easily flustered
