As a Senior Finance Analyst - Managed Print Service in Bangalore, India you will:
  • Managed Print Services (MPS) is a suite of solutions that blends HP's Print Hardware, Supplies, Software, Leasing and Services into a seamless offering focused on efficient and cost-effective management of enterprise wide print. MPS is $1B plus annual business and has high growth potential and expectations.
  • MPS Finance Account Managers (FAM) lead financial/commercial aspects of multi-year/ multi-million-dollar MPS deals sold by HP. They ensure that the deal's deliver to their profit objectives and comply with all externally agreed financial terms and conditions.
  • Key focus areas for FAM include revenue maximization, cost reduction, margin improvement, and financial/ commercial risk mitigation. This is achieved through cross functional leadership and continuous coordination with MPS pursuit teams, Opportunity Consultants, Client Managers, Delivery leads, and Market Business & Finance teams.
  • Day to day activities include P&L forecasting, budgeting, participating in deal reviews (pursuit stage), participating in margin improvement reviews (delivery stage), asset impairment testing, overseeing asset leases, overseeing revenue recognition, removing invoicing/ cash collection roadblocks and ensuring transparent and timely flow of information to Market and GBU Business and Finance decision makers.
  • FAM is a highly rewarding role to sharpen commercial, business, and financial acumen skills in a complex, high paced and ever-changing services/ contractual business environment. Ideal candidate will be a self-starter with high degree of independence and ability to influence and coordinate across functions and across geographies.
  • Maintaining and ensuring robustness of deal P&L forecast (from inception to completion) in Account Monitoring tool (CARD)
  • Understanding contract terms, conditions and financial implications in detail
  • Providing cost accruals, month end close details and forecast to Market Financial Analysts
  • Bridging deal P&L to SOAR P&L (Point of Record P&L at the time of selling the deal)
  • Quota setup (TCV/Revenue/GM)
  • Lease Variance Reconciliation, Credit notes and concessions approvals, Account Reviews, Asset impairment assessments
  • Driving margin improvement with the Client Managers through upsell opportunities and costs improvements
  • Interface with Client Success Manager, MPS Global Business Unit, Market Finance teams, Market Business Management, Customer Services and Customer Operations teams

Are you a high-performerWe are looking for an individual with:
  • First level university degree with a focus in Accounting or Business advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) preferred.

. In depth knowledge of financial processes, concepts, and tools
. Services finance experience essential but not must
. Minimum finance experience of 8 years+ working in global organizations
. Excellent communication, influencing and teamwork skills. Must be able to pass clear messages to finance and business community to influence outcomes
. Project management skills
. Ability to work in matrix organizations and with limited guidance/processes with finance and non-finance colleagues
. Excellent understanding of typical contract/financial issues, financial analysis, revenue recognition and accounting policies and principles
. Improvement mind-set: Proactive in developing ideas to improve processes/solve problems
. The candidate should be a reliable source of information and be able to see 'behind' the numbers to provide valuable analysis to the business and customer, often dealing with ambiguous or unclear situations
