We are working with New Zealand's leading global provider of professional cleaning products and services company looking for an Accounts Assistant/Accounts Receivable Officer, responsible to efficiently manage all activities associated with the company cash flow, accounts receivable records and monitoring payments. The office is based in Mount Wellington, Auckland.

About the role:
To manage company's cash flow, monitoring payments and to provide financial, administrative, and clerical service in order to ensure effective and accurate financial and administrative operations.

  • Complete the processing of the daily banking of cheques and referring all bank deposits and EFTs to the accounts receivable ledger.
  • Reconcile customer's accounts and ensuring accuracy of balances.
  • Actively chase overdue amounts and to enforce stop supply on customers not complying with credit terms under the direction of the credit policy.
  • Monitor and handle collections of overdue debts incurred by customers through communication via telephone calls and email follow-ups.
  • Assist to prepare weekly payments/refunds to suppliers/customers.
  • Monitor disputes and provide resolutions.
  • Complete month end processing and bank reconciliation as per the accounting timetable.
  • Update/maintain customers' master data files.
About you:

You are someone who can deal with a broad range of client enquiries and issues and provide accurate, complete, and timely information. Manage varied and conflicting demands to meet agreed standards & timeline and build and maintain good working relationships with internal and external clients.
Key requirements include:
  • Experience in an Accounts receivable role.
  • Strong communication, both written & verbal, and analytical skills.
  • Previous finance experience and being able to demonstrate experience in allocation of revenue and matching the relevant financial transactions to the bank statement.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Dynamics NAV, Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.
  • Tertiary qualifications in this discipline or similar.
