The Vacancy
OVERALL SUMMARY
An exciting opportunity to join the Close Brothers Finance Team in a role that is pivotal within Financial Control. As well as being responsible for the Asset Finance and Leasing (AF&L) loan book reporting, this role also supports the business by providing key stakeholders with high quality financial and regulatory reporting. A great learning opportunity that will build core accounting skills; provides exposure to financial and regulatory reporting outputs, and supports development of data processing IT tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Loan book & Regulatory reporting:
- Prepare the AF&L loan book and cashflow, this involves managing large volumes of data and workflows
- Performing data analysis and validation checks, including investigation and resolution of reporting discrepancies
- Assist in data preparation for Regulatory reporting including PRA and Bank of England returns
Financial Reporting:
- Support preparation of monthly cost and income reporting packs
- Preparation of journals and reviewing invoices to ensure that they are coded correctly
- Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:
- You are a recent graduate with a 2:1 or above in a relevant subject
- Studying an accounting qualification such as ACCA or CIMA
- Strong interest in data processing IT tools such as Excel and Alteryx and Financial reporting packages as well as a desire to learn new automation and data processing tools independently
- Confident with strong communication skills and ability to articulate findings to stakeholders in written and oral forms
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:
- Strong interest in Financial Services
- Experience with data processing and analytics
- Worked effectively within a large, multi-site and complex business
- SAP (ECC and BI) experience
