Our client, a vibrant and energetic Accounting firm, is searching for a suitably qualified *Accountant* for their Durban office.

* Writing up of accounting records from source document to trial balance including general ledger maintenance
* Compilation and maintenance of fixed asset registers from start to finish
* Compilation of annual financial statements in accordance with full IFRS and IFRS for SMME and also in accordance with GRAP standards
* Compilation of the accounting or audit year end file supporting the financial statement

* B Compt degree
* Completed private sector articles
* "Working" knowledge of excel
* Familiarity with accounting and payroll packages
* Familiarity with Tax (Income tax, VAT, Employees' tax)
* Good leadership skills
* Consistent achievement of tasks on hand
* Ability to handle a number of projects at the same time
* Ability to handle young and emerging talent
* An excellent all-round communicator
