As the Project Accountant you will provide accurate and timely financial information to Group, JM IT and specific Programmes for the purposes of management control and to meet reporting requirements for the group, focused on the ERP and Digital spaces.

responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute the month end process for JM IT ERP and Digital spaces. This includes liaising with Cost Centre Managers to prepare accurate accruals and forecasts within the corporate reporting deadlines
  • Support project teams with month end reporting, accruals preparation and transaction queries including liaison with PMO team
  • Create timely and accurate monthly reports, forecasts, annual budgets, KPIs and variance analyses for the JM IT ERP space, ensuring good presentation and compliance with group standards
  • Support and challenge the global businesses on local actual and forecast IT spend and its reporting
  • Collect, review and summarise JM IT capital expenditure in the ERP space and liaise with JM IT project managers
  • Assist in the review and oversight of the policies, processes and controls around cost management, budgeting and recharges for JM IT, focused on the ERP space including ERP project delivery
Requirements for the role:
  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent)
  • Previous reporting experience in a multinational, preferably a matrix, organisation
  • Strong IT literacy with a good knowledge of Excel
  • Results focused with ability to work to multiple tight deadlines
  • Able to work as part of a team but also be self-motivated
  • Experience with ERP systems, SAP or JDE preferred
