Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
The Future of Mail (FoM) Programme is a high-profile strategic programme of work to ensure mail continues to contribute to a sustainable NZ Post.
The primary focus of this role is to provide finance support to the operational workstreams of the Future of Mail Programme. This role will support the workstreams to provide robust financial and commercial analysis to support decision making including financial analysis for decisions on strategic direction, assessment of ideas and formal business cases, as well as tracking benefits realisation. The role will also develop financial reporting to show progress against workstream and overall Programme objectives.
This role will work closely with the Finance Business Advisory team to ensure alignment of planning assumptions, costing methodologies and allocation, and will provide input to the business planning process across operational areas. This role will develop a deep understanding of the network, the relevant value drivers, the economics of mail and parcels within it and our current and future contract models.
Mōu - About you
You will an experienced business advisor with experience in either manufacturing, logistics or supply chain. You will have at least 5 years' experience as a consultant or business partner, as well as:

* Experience in analysing problems and scenarios within a complex network.
* Experience providing general business advice to senior managers and executives
* Able to demonstrate their contributions have led to improvement in financial performance.
* Proven ability in problem solving and senior business advisory.
* Strong financial analysis skills and the ability to solve complex business problems
* A finance or accounting degree (or similar tertiary qualification) and CA (or equivalent)
