Description:

Job Title Contract Assistant Financial Accountant - 6 months

Job Location Tewksbury, UK (Flexible)

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for various financial transactions posted into SAP including sales invoices and financial journals.
  • Support with the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts as directed by the Financial Accountant.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • Assist where necessary to support statutory accounts preparation, audit and corporation tax compliance
  • Take responsibility for credit control and related reporting on debtor position and aging as directed by Financial accountant.
  • Maintain cash flow forecast and ensure that this is reconciled to SAP.
  • Responsibility for ONS survey completion with support from Financial accountant where necessary.
  • Review spend analysis, understand and communicate variances and provide support to business as directed.
  • Provide payroll support as required

Experience Required

  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
  • Good time management skills to ensure adherence to tight deadlines.
  • Prior experience of integrated ERP systems handling engineering / manufacturing transactions.
  • Experience of control account reconciliations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
