Management Accountant

Ok so lets get the functional stuff out the way first

Do you have a solid background in Manufacturing?

How about multi-site experience?

If so read on!

We have a unique and very exciting opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join an amazing global business in Leicestershire & add to their finance team.

Now this isnt just any Management Accountant role, we need a true business partner that can not only do the day job but also add value to other areas in the business, including the finance team overseas. This business needs someone who has the gravitas to really get into the detail with other stakeholders across the board.

All the usual content applies, but if youre reading this its a given youll know your stuff.....

However, in a nutshell......

Production and Reporting of the monthly sales & management accounts, working alongside the FC, Shared Service Centre and operational management

Identification of key issues arising from the management accounts and working with the senior management team to resolve financial performance issues: this is where your manufacturing experience is essential!

Monthly Financial Forecasts and Budgets

Full P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow reporting responsibility for the US division.

Responsible for transactional finance tasks such as company credit cards, bank reconciliations, and expenses queries, updating cash book

Overseeing daily invoicing and margin analysis

Responsible for intercompany transaction UK & LLC

Preparing and maintaining US sales commission statement

Management of US credit card and expenses

Year end audit and tax preparation

Finance lead within the US supporting the business leaders in all financial aspects to continue to deliver the financial growth of the business

Preparing and reporting monthly sales tax to relevant tax authorities

Liaise/coordinate with relevant agencies to comply with local tax and reporting requirements including annual business licence and property tax

Support the USA payroll processes, including all employment tax processes and act as a back-up for payroll administration

So, yes, this role does of course involve the transactional duties, thats inevitable. However, what we need is someone that can really get under the skin of whats going on, become a super user through the implementation of new software, analyse and develop new processes to ensure efficiency and really take ownership whilst being a true business partner.

This company are a global leader in their field and, given part of this role will be engaging with the team in the US, some travel will be required.

So, who are you?

Ok you must have a demonstrable track record within a product driven environment and extensive experience in manufacturing. Production cost accounting will come as second nature. Youll know what the numbers are saying, youll want to analyse the detail & then influence your stakeholders simple!

Your communication and interpersonal skills will be outstanding & youll have a flexible approach. Your weekly hours will be standard however because of the time difference for the US team, your start and finish times will at times be staggered.
