We have two opportunities for people with amazing customer centric skills and a passion for leadership and people development to join the Customer Services leadership team as an Assistant Team Leader. The Customer Services Retail team is on a transformational journey of change, including, our continual cross functional support across our Customer Experience department. We have a goal of delivering improved outcomes for our customers, adapting in an environment of continual change while supporting the growth and development of our front line team who are at the heart of why we do what we do.

This is an awesome opportunity to develop a career pathway into leadership within Auckland Transport, contribute to the evolution of our Customer Experience team delivering against the strategy, our operations and growth of our most important resource, our people. You'll form an integral part of the Customer Services leadership team reporting to the Manager of Customer Care Retail Channels. This is an ideal opportunity to develop your leadership skills and demonstrate your customer centric ability. This role covers multiple locations as part of the day-to-day responsibilities.

Some tasks will include:
  • Support the leadership functions for our customer facing operational teams across multiple locations ensuring we deliver exceptional customer experiences and people leadership.
  • Motivate, coach and develop a team to interact with customers at the highest possible quality standard.
  • Take ownership of customer contacts and ensure requests are logged/ recorded, monitored and closed and that a professional response is received by the customer in accordance with their request, policy and procedures.

You will:
  • Be a problem-solver and eternal optimist with a desire to make a positive change for Auckland
  • Have great customer centric skills
  • Have the ability and passion for motivating, coaching and developing a team to achieve awesome outcomes for AT and Auckland
  • Have great leadership and relationship skills
  • Have achieved L3 or L5 grade in the level assessment for a customer service representative at Auckland Transport or have demonstrated leadership experience outside of AT
  • Experience in use of MS Office / Office 365, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint , Outlook and CRM
  • Be flexible to work rostered shifts, across multiple locations over a 7 day period
  • Had some experience in managing multiple locations
