Our client is a young construction company adding a newly created Assistant Controller to their growing team!

About the company and the Assistant Controller position

• exposure to M&A and more complex work as the company grows

Duties of the Assistant Controller:

• prepare financial statements and management reports
• direct month end close process
• oversee A/P, A/R and Payroll teams
• prepare WIP reports
• Assist with system implementation: map chart of accounts and test transactions
• supervise 1 staff accountant
• establish policies and procedures

Preferred qualifications for the Assistant Controller:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5-7 years of related Accounting experience
• supervisory experience preferred #CFSAUG2022
• construction industry a plus!
