Our client is fast-growing company looking for your exceptional skills as an Assistant Accountant. This brilliant role is very involved, and will bring new challenges and rewards each day as you assist with the preparation of monthly P&L, bank reconciliations, and management of Fixed Assets. The Role

Prepare to be challenged by a role where no two days are ever the same. Your unique accounting skills will see you involved in everything from:
  • General Ledger Accounting and reconciliations
  • Preparing journal entries to include Intercompany journals for multiple entities
  • Assisting in monthly and year-end reporting through to bank reconciliations
  • Fixed asset creation and maintenance
  • Preparation of Monthly BAS returns
  • Providing support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable - some minor transactional processing may be involved
  • Interact with external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits
  • Coordinate a variety of financial data and compliance documentation as required.


Let your analytical skills shine as you assist and report to the Senior Accountant, with guidance and handling a range of responsibilities where you will advance your expertise in Accounts.

Your Skills & Experience
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
  • Studying CPA or CA is desirable, however not essential for the role.
  • 1-2 years of demonstrated Accounting experience
  • Brilliant skills in Excel.
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software, SAP or Pronto being highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills, highly focused on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Brilliant organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines.
  • Detail oriented, ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritise tasks.


About you

To be successful in the role, you will be someone with who has experiencing working in transactional Accounting and have an enthusiastic and helpful attitude to help with ad-hoc tasks. You are highly organised, detail oriented, and have a sense of urgency to complete tasks promptly but accurately. You will be agile in your working endeavors and be able to think of your feet and solve problems as they arise. You will also be an exceptional communicator on all levels, have a strong work ethic to thrive in a busy environment.
