Our client is currently seeking a Junior Accountant to join the accounting and finance team. They value their learning and career growth opportunities and are looking for team members who want to grow within the organization!

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$22 - $27/hr

Position Overview:

The Junior Account will be responsible for preparing bank reconciliation, process accounts payable and receivables, perform light journal entries, and help maintain the general ledger. The perfect candidate for this Junior Accountant position is an enthusiastic team player who is hard working, accountable and highly motivated.

Responsibilities of the Junior Accountant:

  • Compose journal entries
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Perform bank and credit card account reconciliations
  • Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries
  • Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
  • Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process


Qualifications for the Junior Accountant:

  • Excel proficiency (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, experience) is a must
  • Knowledge of one or more major ERP system (ex: SAP, Oracle, Sage, NetSuite, QuickBooks) preferred
  • Highly analytical individual with strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills- both written & verbal
  • Ability to multi task and perform tasks in a timely manner
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Accounting internship is required


Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or relevant field is required
