The Role

Looking for a passionate individual who has a strong focus on delivering high-quality customer service and a keen eye for detail. You will be working collaboratively within the accounts department to assist with financial and administrative tasks as required by the department. Your day-to-day will involve:

• Assisting customers with billing/general enquiries via a high volume of incoming calls, emails, and live chats;
• Keeping records of customer interactions;
• Generating invoices and receiving payments;
• Applying discounts and adjustments;
• Acknowledging and resolving billing disputes and level 1 complaints;
• Assisting with month-end processes

• Credit management activities including but not limited to:

• adhering to and enforcing internal policies;
• performing credit assessments including external credit checks;
• Monitoring & collecting accounts receivable by contacting customers via phone, sms and email;
• processing applications for financial hardship;
• establishing payment plans;
• negotiating bad debts;
• reporting and updating defaults with a credit reporting body; and
• liaising with debt collectors.

To succeed in this role you will need:

• Exposure to Quickbooks or other accounting software;
• A positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers;
• Outstanding verbal/written communication skills;
• The ability to easily build rapport with others;
• The ability to handle a quick-paced, fluid work environment;
• A keen eye for detail;
• To be a team player, who doesn't hesitate to pitch in to help colleagues in a busy environment;
• Competency with Microsoft Office software - Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Desirable but not necessary, experience working within accounts receivable role.
