My client is a manufacturing company and distributes ingredients to suit each market sector that focusses on every customers needs. The finance team is currently looking for a Assistant Accountant to join their team.

As the Assistant Accountant you will be involved in every aspect of the finance department ensuring that the correct information is presented on a continues basis.

As an Assistant Accountant you will responsible for the following:

• Produce financial statements month to balance sheet
• Month journals entries
• Prepare monthly profit and loss and balance sheet
• Monthly profit and loss and balance sheet recons
• VAT returns
• Assist with Accounts Payable and Cash book queries
• Year-end audit
• Fixed Asset Register
• Assist with stock takes
• Assist with annual budgeting

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Matric/Grade 12 (Certificate required)
Completed Bcom / Diploma in finance
Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position
Prior exposure within Manufacturing environment would be beneficial.
Advanced knowledge of Syspro packages
