Elevation recruitment group are delighted to be working with a market leading Engineering business with offices in the wider Leeds area to recruit a Project Accountant.

Initially a 12 month contract, as Project Accountant this role will focus on the historical reconciliation and review of the internal framework accounting for a number of large contracts. Requiring a high level of attention to detail and a methodical approach, this will involve working closely with senior stakeholders in the commercial team to reconcile and implement an effective and improved process moving forward.

This role is likely to become a permanent position in the future. As a Finance Business Partner to the Commercial leadership team, duties will include preparing timely management accounts, developing KPI reporting, weekly cashflow forecasting and producing accurate budgets and forecasts. There will also be a focus on improving current management information, processes and controls, and you will partner with the commercial directors to develop insightful analysis that will aid commercial and corporate decision making.

The successful candidate will be a fully Qualified Accountant with relevant PQE and will ideally have contract/project accounting experience within and Engineering environment. This is a fast paced and forward-thinking business, and therefore interested candidates must be accustomed to such environment, have the ability to adapt and pick things up quickly. Strong stakeholder management skills are paramount, as are solid Excel skills and experience of working with an ERP system.
