Accounts Payable Lead

Location: Chandler, AZ

Well established industry leader is seeking a dynamic Accounts Payable Lead for its Chandler location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead department AP Clerks
  • Hands-on processing while being the first line "go-to" person for daily operations within the payables department
  • Receive and verify expense reports
  • Reconcile expense/financial reports with account balances and other documentation
  • Monitor and reviewing monthly AP balancing and reconciliation process and reports
  • Lead the transition of disbursements from internal business groups or regions into a centralized environment
  • Provide operational accounting support for internal business groups and/or regions as they transition into Accounting Service Center
  • Training now hires and providing on-going support to AP Clerks
  • Assist in preparing monthly detail and summary analysis and/or reports

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities
  • Ability to accomplish goals while meeting deadlines
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to take on tasks with limited guidance
  • Possess good analytical skills, problem solving skills, and good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be able to manage projects efficiently and effectively, as well as meet set deadlines
  • Must be proficient in Excel, Word, and be able to adapt to/understand various accounting systems
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic

Education and/or Experience:
  • High school diploma required; some college preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience within an AP Lead capacity within a large company environment
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in Accounts Payables
  • Steady work experience
