Job description:
- Responsible for sound inventory management practices in the group including regular stock counts, cycle counts, variance analyses, loss control and internal control implementation.
- Review and propose inventory adjustments after investigation of variances. Obtain management approval for these adjustments prior to posting them in the system.
- Regular cash counts and cash up audits at the cash offices.
- Review margins and costings of all value added and produced products.
- Follow up on claims and rebates, margin recovery and deals with suppliers.
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting of results to management.
- Budgets/forecasts and variance analyses
- Implement internal control and ensure sound practices for waste management and supplier returns.
- Leave cover / rotation of duties within the group finance department.
