Job Purpose:

To provide an efficient and accurate accounting service in respect of payments through the subcontractor ledger

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Subcontract Ledger

Setup of subcontractor accounts on Xpedeon software and verify with HMRC

Review of White Cards entered onto Xpedeon by Surveyors

Input Extras and Contras onto Xpedeon

Ensure all White Cards, Extras and Contras are entered onto Xpedeon prior to commencing payment runs and are fully up to date at month end.

Processing of fortnightly payment requests

Checking of VAT and Tax on White Cards, Extras and payments.

Assist with production of monthly HMRC returns

Monitoring and requesting VAT invoices where required

Other Responsibilities

Support Finance team where required

Technical Competencies:

Accounts payable experience (Subcontract experience preferred)

Analytical, accurate and pride in own work and also that of the team

Computer literate Excel, Outlook, Word;

Person Specification:

Target driven, self-motivated and able to work well in a team;

A good listener and patient;

Confident and articulate, clear communicator;

Polite telephone manner;

Organised and demonstrable time management skills;

Positive attitude, flexible, helpful and enthusiastic;

Works well in a team;

Punctual;

Business-like and professional both in manner and appearance.

Please note our standard working hours are 8:00am until 5.00pm Monday to Friday, though we operate a flexible working policy so working hours can be adjusted to suit individual needs.
