Construction Accountant - Real Estate Industry!

Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with a fast-growing and highly respected Real Estate and Property Management Investment firm to identify a Construction Accountant to join their team. With a multi-billion dollar real estate portfolio, this company has grown from a small investment company to a distinguished national firm.

The Construction Accountant's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop and prepare monthly/quarterly/annual joint venture, investor, fee management, lender, and construction reporting
• Prepare loan draws, lien waiver collection, and capital calls for both joint venture and fee management properties
• Handle and process all aspects of construction payables, including coding, routing of capital invoices, and maintenance of the job cost chart of accounts
• Review contractors' payment applications for monthly billings
• Maintain Yardi-Construction database - including but not limited to uploading budgets on new acquisitions, opening and closing jobs as needed, and reviewing contract coding to ensure payables are hitting the proper accounts
• Perform monthly close and related journal entries

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of construction or development Accounting experience preferred
• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
• Yardi or similar software experience preferred
• Salary $75k - $95k + 10% bonus and excellent benefits
