This position is to support Optum Hospice Pharmacy Services (OHPS) organization as a member of the Finance team and is accountable for both the monthly accounting close, monthly financial package preparation, and FP&A actions. This position will work with the OHPS Finance team to ensure that the business is operating effectively, with sound financial analysis, and with appropriate financial and operating controls in place.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Partner with ECS Finance & Operational leads to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial executive packages
• Work closely with the business to develop, recommend, and establish strategies, plans and processes to improve profitability and cost efficiencies
• Produce clear, well-formatted reports that communicate a clear, compelling message for their stakeholders
• Develop and maintain monthly and forecast financial reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast and budget
• Develop and perform all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
• Support Clinical Advocacy & Support Finance lead in deliverable of sound financials and analytics
• Understand and incorporate industry specific metrics into reports to highlight relevant trends and support fact-based business decisions

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of financial and/or accounting experience
• Experience with Optum month end close and FP&A processes
• Advanced level of proficiency with Excel (experience with pivot tables, database / logic formulas, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree and professional certifications in Accounting or Finance
• Experience with Qlikview, Microsoft PowerBI, SQL, or other advanced reporting and analysis
• Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed organization and with a cross-functional partners
• Proven ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) at both the working and executive level
• Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase, Planning and PeopleSoft Financials
• Solid attention to detail and accuracy

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600.
