- Function as an accountant subject matter expert (SME) on selected UHC claim platforms
- Perform SOX controls, cash clearing account reconciliations and detailed data analysis on the claim platforms supported as a SME
- Support the interim and end of year claim audit process
- Support the implementation of new business by providing input on requirements and testing
- Reconcile, analyze and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close
- Develop innovative approaches for continued improvement in efficiency and effectiveness
- Produce ad hoc reports for internal customers

- Bachelor's degree with coursework in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of professional work experience

- Experience or coursework with SAS, SQL, VBA programming languages
- Experience within a complex working environment with various hierarchical commitments
- Exposure to PeopleSoft or Essbase/Smartview

- Intermediate level experience in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated ability to enhance processeses

The salary range for Colorado residents is $54,400 to $97,000. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $60,000 to $106,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
