Do you have 3+ years of full cycle accounting to include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & Payroll? Are you interested in supporting a team with their daily accounting needs? DEFINITION: The Senior Account Technician/ Finance performs a variety of complex accounting duties in maintaining ledgers and the accounting/finance system. Performs job related as assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Prepares and enters journal entries, i.e. allocation of insurance and workers compensation, errors in posting accounts payable invoices, indirect costs, interest distribution and revenues. Prepares related cash transfers to County Funds 2. Prepares weekly deposits to the County Treasurer's Office and ensures revenues are recorded appropriately on the General Ledger in compliance with the USFR. 3. Maintains hand ledgers for special revenue funds and reconciles revenue and expenditure balances to the General Ledger on a monthly basis. 4. Reconciles all district funds to the County Treasurer's on a monthly basis; researches and resolves all differences. 5. Prepares quarterly cash management and yearly completion reports on Federal and State grants; ensures accuracy and timely filing of reports. 6. Prepares monthly financial reports on Special Revenue Funds as required. 7. Prepare invoices and claims for reimbursement. Maintain accounts receivable schedule to ensure timely payment. Follow up on past due accounts. 8. Analyzes receipts, expenditures, and project balances. 9. Prepares schedules and statements on financial information, assists with year-end closing. 10. Assists accounts payable in resolving discrepancies. 11. Creates spreadsheets and worksheets on the computer. If you are interested, please apply NOW! These roles will not be around long!!
