Senior Staff Accountant
Phoenix, Arizona (100% in-office)

Overview
The incumbent will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly financial reporting. The candidate will also have a key hand in collecting information for third party audits, overseeing financial reporting and operations and will be the first point of contact for accounting issues.

Duties

• Preparation of month financial reporting
• Reconcile the Balance Sheet
• First point of contact for accounting issues for the company, answer questions by research and interpretation of data
• Assist in month & year-end close
• Proficient in preparing journal entries
• Postings of transactions into the general ledger
• Reconciliation of vendor accounts
• Assist in financial statement audit

Qualifications

• Bachelors on Accounting, finance or Business
• 2+ years of experience
• Experience working within the construction or construction related industry highly preferred
• Strong Excel skills (heavy use of pivot tables and VLOOKUP's a must)
• The successful individuals must have a strong understanding of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other general financial transactions within an organization.
