Client Details

My client is a very well-established business, needing a Purchase Ledger Assistant on both a permanent and temporary basis.

Description

As the Purchase Ledger Assistant, your role responsibilities will include:

  • Processing incoming invoices, credit notes and other documentation and entering them on to the company's account package timely.
  • Ensuring all correct authorisations are gained prior to payment of supplier invoices.
  • To participate in the smooth processing of all payable due via BACS and CHAPS
  • Check and reconcile supplier statements.
  • Complete and return new account application forms sent in by suppliers.
  • Setting up and amending supplier accounts on to the company's account package.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders on a regular basis, ensuring that any queries are dealt with in the required timescale.
  • Develop existing systems and processes in order to improve efficiency.
  • General administration including filing of invoices, credit notes, debit notes, and supplier statements.
  • Answering incoming telephone calls to the purchase ledger department.
  • Always strive to maintain and develop productive and effective relationships with suppliers all other key stakeholders.
  • Communicate all relevant key information across the business as appropriate.
  • Timely and accurate processing of documentation, payment runs and query management.
  • To strive to meet all KPI measures as listed under Measurements of Success or otherwise communicated from time to time.
  • Strong desire to utilise our technology effectively to improve efficiency and a commitment to personal career development.

Profile

To be successful in your application for Purchase Ledger Assistant, you should have:

  • Reasonable experience of working within a purchase ledger department.
  • Good Team ethic/Team Player required.
  • Can do Attitude, always looking to make things better.
