Vaco is partnering with an exciting, innovative medical research and manufacturing company that is looking for a Senior Accountant to help build out and optimize their accounting department.

Expected Job Responsibilities:

• Report directly to the Controller as a part of a small team that covers three organizations
• Responsible for Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cashflow across three organization
• Lead accounts payable and receivable, maintaining payroll including commissions, payment of bills
• Own month-end and year-end close process
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Cost accounting to work on areas to improve our cash and margin position

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience required
• Public accounting and/or publicly traded company experience preferred
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages like Sage100, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics GP
• Manufacturing or cost accounting experience preferred
• CPA preferred
• Highly analytical, pro-active mentality, and problem-solving ability
