You will play an integral role in delivering payroll services and will provide detailed interpretive advice on employee entitlements in accordance with legislation and policies. The role will perform more complex payroll processing tasks.

Client Details

People, Property and Security is responsible for supporting the strategic direction by enabling, through strategic and effective frameworks, advice and processes, to respond effectively to current and future business needs.

The Payroll team provides support and advice on employment, remuneration and entitlements. The team provides customer focused payroll services within legislative frameworks, policies and procedures and are responsible for the accurate processing of payroll and entitlements under the relevant legislation

Description
  • Participate in a customer focused service desk for employees and provide sound, timely and accurate advice to employees on pay, conditions, policy, processes and systems.
  • In consultation with the Payroll Team Leader, manage and resolve complex payroll and workers compensation matters.
  • Provide advice and support to Comcare employees and stakeholders on specialist people issues.
  • Undertake processing within the required timeframes to ensure the delivery of pay-run is met.
  • Actively develop and maintain working relationships across Comcare and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of procedures and processes.
  • Guide and mentor team members.
  • Work collaboratively within the People, Property and Security team.

  • Profile
    • Demonstrated high level working knowledge and understanding of the APS pay and conditions legislation, policies and procedures in administering a payroll function
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritise, work under pressure to achieve required time frames and business outcomes
    • Demonstrated experience in managing and resolving complex payroll and the ability to undertake workers compensation processing
    • Highly developed written and oral communication skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders with professionalism and credibility
    • Experience with Aurion is not essential, however highly desirable
