Accounting degree + CPA & 5+ years' professional experience as an Accountant
Purpose
The Management Accountant is responsible for management accounting for specific contracts to add value to the business. The key function is to drive financial performance by providing quality financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Prepare and distribute P & L statements
• Preparation / processing of transactions into journals
• Review and perform journal reconciliations as required
• WIP Analysis
• Prepare forecasts
• Co-ordination of annual budgeting process
• Purging of out-of-date data
• Monitor work order and financial system
• Prepare required financial information for the auditors
• Preparation of monthly management reports, including Actual vs Budget results
• Issue, entry and review on monthly cost to complete reporting
• Co-ordination of end of month accounting processes and reporting
• Provide monthly commentary to management on contract performance
• Preparation of monthly, half yearly and full year financial results
• Assist with year-end audit requests and reports

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree qualification in Accounting and Finance (ideally CA / CPA or equivalent)
• 5+ years' professional experience as an Accountant, CA / CPA qualified or equivalent
• 5+ years' minimum experience working in a similar role within mining, engineering, construction, contracting or similar preferred
• High attention to detail with sound commercial acumen
• Excellent computer skills - Accounting Packages along with MS Word, Excel, etc.
• Experience with Power BI or similar data analysis systems is preferred
