The Client
With a wide-ranging number of services supporting the health sector and contributing to the well-being of a large percentage of Queenslanders. This in demand Not-For-Profit is looking to strengthen their financial accounting and reporting team by adding a hands-on Assistant Accountant.
Working within a collaborative team environment, no two days will be the same and you will have the opportunity to grow and progress over time.
The Role
Supporting the Commercial Manager, your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: -
About you
You will have 2+ years' experience in a similar position, exposure to working in large complex organisations, hold a relevant Bachelor's Degree and ideally hold or are working towards CA/CPA qualifications.
You will have prior ERP experience, high attention to detail and level of accuracy. Coupled with your motivated attitude you will possess excellent communication skills, a willingness to learn and work in a role that is growing and changing all the time.

The Role
Supporting the Commercial Manager, your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: -
- Review resident settlement statements in line with resident contracts and organisation policies.
- Review resident setup, within relevant systems, to ensure all information is captured correctly and consistently.
- Prepare calculation of estimated fee splits for legal settlements on resident exit.
- Prepare calculation and process of accounting entries to record the exit and entry of residents.
- Maintain deferred management fees and resident capital gains throughout the resident lifecycle.
- Contribute to and deliver the financial reporting month end close process per agreed timetable.
- Provide general ledger account reconciliation and verification activities.
- Support internal and external audit requirements.
- Undertake other duties as and when directed.
