Internship Overview:
The host is an organisation dealing with core accounting operations that are looking to onboard 10+ enthusiastic Accounting Interns (student/graduate) to join their accounting team. You will work closely with the Program Director, Team Manager, and other qualified executives to deliver high-quality work.

Internship Overview:
The host is an organisation dealing with core accounting operations that are looking to onboard 10+ enthusiastic Accounting Interns (student/graduate) to join their accounting team. You will work closely with the Program Director, Team Manager, and other qualified executives to deliver high-quality work.
Role and Responsibility:
- Responsible for assisting in areas of Audits, Reviews, Compilations and Accounting services
- Analysis and preparation of scenarios in Excel to provide tax estimates
- Participate in our intern orientation, technical training and development program designed to give you the tools needed to immediately contribute to client engagements
- Research and draft technical memoranda to support tax return reporting positions, responses to IRS Information Document Requests and Notices of Proposed Adjustments, Protests of Proposed Examination Changes, Private Letter Ruling requests, and penalty abatement requests
- Assist with client representation at IRS Examination, Appeals, and Collections
- Preparation of Income Tax Returns and Information Reports
- Draft internal correspondence on topical tax law issues
- Negotiate voluntary disclosures for delinquent unclaimed property reports and tax returns
- Conduct due diligence to identify tax exposure for various transactions
- Work on all aspects of an audit including cash, bank reconciliations, auditing accounts payable, performing searches for unrecorded liabilities, maintaining confirmation logs and preparing audit work papers
- Preparing corporate, partnership, and not-for-profit income tax filings
- Preparing state and local franchise and property tax filings
- Releveant degree in finance or accounting
- Undergraduate or master's degree in Accounting
- Flexible work arrangements (as per the guidelines of COVID-19).
